Quaint Old Home

This month I got to visit my friend and client Amy's wonderful home. As you drive up the front red door beckons you to come inside. Please notice Amy's unique and fun welcome sign!

Amy is a very creative and talented. Besides quilting she loves to create needlepoint artwork. Below is some of her work. I have encouraged her to get herself a blog to showcase her talents. I would love to see more!

Master Bedroom Project

My apologies for my short absence. I have been ill with the flu. I am recovering and very anxious to get back to work. I have a million and one things to do. I hate being sick. I tried to fight it but it just did me in. After a visit to the doctor, several shots and a couple of prescriptions combined with some much needed rest am feeling much better. Thanks for the e-mails!

My husband and I have been remodeling our home since, uhmmm since, he moved in. It has been a long remodel. Lately we have been on this kick of getting stuff done around house. My husband is a contractor. He builds and remodels homes and commercial properties and is always too busy to do the honeydo list. You know, the never ending honey do this, honey do that list. Well he has decided to finish up some lingering projects.

Top on the list was the completion of our master bedroom. This space used to be the old kitchen and laundry area. It was ugly and dreary with 60’s style cabinetry and fixtures. We X’ed it out as the kitchen and decided that it would be better suited as our master bedroom. Everything was torn out, ceilings were raised, walls came down, new footage and windows were added. I love the new space and am enjoying decorating it!

Next is our living room, which I have already started painting a dark brown. Yummy!

Quaint Old Home Month of February

Quaint Old Homes is a society of women that meet every month in each others homes for a luncheon enjoying eachothers company and sharing their homes, creativity and news of upcoming events.

For the month of February we had the pleasure of being invited to a dear friend and neighbor of mine, Terri's home. Terri lives in an exquisite stately house. I get to drive by this beauty everyday on my way home. It takes my breath away each and every time. I gasp walking up the porch steps anxiously awaiting to see what Terri has done to her home this time. She is very creative and has impeccable taste. See for yourself.
