Hi, I just stumbled across your blog today and thought that you had some of the cutest painted furniture pieces. Then upon closer inspection, I realized that you are located in Abilene, TX. I actually grew up in Abilene and now live here in San Antonio. I used to have a teacher named Mr. Stokes, is there any relation? –Cheers, Amy

You have some beautiful pieces in your store. I don't think that I could actually stay unconscious on the fainting couch, there's too much to look at. I love your 5 unimportant things about you. Especially the one about your business starting out as a hobby. Did you ever in a million years think that your hobby would be a business??
Take care,
Connie

Connie,

It was kind of funny how things started for me. I was looking for something to do rather then the high stress job I had. I just prayed about it and God answered. One day I walked into an antique mall and saw the cutest painted furniture. I was inspired and thought “I could do this.” I had always collected stuff and loved to hunt at garage sales/estate sales etc. so I thought “why not try to sell some of the stuff I bought “ I immediately rented a small booth and got started, not even six months later my tiny booth turned into three. Soon after my husband put the idea in my head that maybe I should just open a shop. God placed things in such a way that it all fell into place. I discovered a talent that I never realized I had, a passion for what I do and I feel very blessed.

So to answer your question, I guess I knew when I started doing this that there was something more for me. I still feel that way. I believe that there is still more to come.

Amy,

I am glad you visited my blog. I think your teacher Mr. Stokes may be related to my husband. Small world! If you are ever in the area stop by. Dalia

Hi Dalia,
That is too funny. He was my middle school teacher, many moon's ago. I haven't been to Abilene in a couple of year. My mom moved back to Ft. Worth after I left. I hear it has changed alot. Never fails, Abilene decided to grow after I move. -Cheers, Amy
